Come back when you have something new to add to a discussion. Endless snarking jousts do not interest me.
Oh I see. You want me to buy a DVD on Ebay! Sorry. You haven't cited one damn thing from the DVD that either supports or discredits your argument. There is no question but that there was a housing shortage during WWII, that is why rent controls were implemented . . . to sucessfully address that problem. The blurb on Ebay says . . . The vintage films in this collection capture the frustration of soldiers, who upon returning home from World War II, found themselves battling for a place to live. The war had left the building industry deprived on skilled labor, and in doing so, had created a housing shortage. First off, "Problems of Housing" aims to make the average American handier around the house, suggesting that lack of riches shouldn't necessarily translate to a messy or raggedy home. "Ceiling on Your Homes" examines postwar deflation and promotes rent control as a way to ensure that veteran soldiers could afford to live in decent homes. The film "Home for Veterans" suggests possible ways for counteracting this housing crisis. So you can spend the 20 bucks on the DVD, but it going to tell you what I've been telling you all along.
The war had left the building industry deprived on skilled labor, and in doing so, had created a housing shortage. Right up your ally. Such a good environment to thrive in.
Stating the obvious. Why do you think rent controls were implemented. TO DEAL WITH THE CRISIS. You are making no sense at all.
rent controls are always intended to deal with shortages, but they end up causing them. thats what we have been telling you all along. once again, rent controls are enacted by politicians, not economists. the politicians take advantage of unsophisticated people who do not understand simple economics, like red.
More of the same drivel. Lots of rhetoric and and personal attacks, but no substance to back up your claims. I'm about done with you on this topic.
