I agree. People look for what they want to see. When Brady was coach they would only look for the bad things, and now he is gone we tend to look for the positives. It is natural, but hopefully the people deciding on a coach dont see things this way.
Being that I was one of the people who voted to not fire him, I'd say that's an inaccurate statement if it was being referred to my thoughts on Pierre.
Not you, but fanbases in general. Everyone is guilty of it whether they admit it or not, including myself. Most just dont realize they are doing it.
I agree. It's time for an entirely new direction. We are a major powerhouse in sports with a pitiful BB program. It's time to go back to the glory days (just like we did in football). Go get an up and coming coach that can recruit and keep his players....and maybe graduate a few. I'm thinking the guy from VCU would be a good place to start.
I agree!!! Again, I agree!!! I read that Skip is meeting with several search firms today in hopes of 1st naming some candidates. Skip said something like, "We have to wait, several of our candidates will be coaching in the NCAA tournament." :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
the more i think about it, the more i like the idea of sticking with BP. its a seamless transition--and every hire has a significant degree of failure potential with it. this way, if he fails you kinda have one less painful coaching change transition period to go through.
From Skips latest CyberSide chat: We are now turning our attention to finding the right leader for the future of LSU men’s basketball. LSU is committed to developing a men’s basketball program that can annually qualify for and have success in the NCAA Tournament, compete for championships and graduate players. The calendar allows us some time to research the best candidates and to bring to LSU the right person. Sitting head coaches will be coaching their teams for at least another month and we do not intend to disrupt the season for any other institution by prematurely contacting candidates. I look forward to great days ahead for Tiger basketball. There is no reason LSU cannot achieve the very highest level of success in men’s basketball and to celebrate championships like the one we all enjoyed recently in Tiger Stadium. In the meantime, I call on LSU fans – the best in the land -- to support this LSU basketball team for the rest of the season. As evidenced by their big win over Florida in Gainesville Wednesday night, they continue to fight and they deserve every opportunity to have an environment in which they can succeed and win games. http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=1389748
Recruiting has been one of the weaknesses of this progam. We lose all of our in-state stars to other schools.
