Even though he did the chop block on Dorsey, I sort of feel sorry for the guy now after reading his story. It sounds like Auburn might have screwed him over pretty badly. http://www.al.com/auburnfootball/mobileregister/index.ssf?/base/sports/123184172928340.xml&coll=3 Auburn's Chaz Ramsey uncertain about future in football Tuesday, January 13, 2009 By EVAN WOODBERY Sports Reporter AUBURN — The dedication Chaz Ramsey felt to his school and his team is etched upon his back. Ramsey has a tattoo of the Auburn logo, with wings on either side. Later, the hulking offensive lineman from Madison, Miss., added the words "Tough times never last. Tough people do." When he sees the tattoo now, it's hard for Ramsey not to wonder how things went so horribly wrong. After a spectacular freshman season in 2007, Ramsey suffered a serious back injury. Ramsey and his father allege that the subsequent rehabilitation was mishandled by Auburn's training staff. Last August, as the dispute between the training staff and the Ramsey family raged, Ramsey's locker was cleaned out and teammates were told not to associate with him. Well, Tuberville is out and Ramsey may get a chance again. I'd leave the SEC and be a bigger fish at a smaller school, if I were him.
As usual, Woodbury leaves out a few of the facts that don't support his agenda. But of course, we're approaching National Signing Day, so stories like this one are commonplace in the state of Alabama. But you won't read one peep about Alabama's Andre Smith receiving funds from his agent or the new Escalade that he paid cash for prior to season's end. Ramsey will not be medically cleared to play football at Auburn, even though he has recently stated that he would very much like to continue playing for AU. I respect that he wants to be on the field, but the MD has the final word and the doctor's interest lies in his patient, not Auburn University. Woodbury fails to mention the reason that Ramsey's locker was cleared out, and it had nothing to do with his medical condition or rehabilitation. If you miss multiple, mandatory team meetings and fail to communicate your whereabouts to your position coach, then your locker gets cleaned-out. I believe this is similar to what occurred with Perrilloux, although the underlying reasons are probably different. Lastly, Ramsey and his family chose to seek medical counsel and rehabilitative services from practices outside the AU-approved network of physicians but he still wanted Auburn to reimburse ineligible expenses. I think that if you or I tried that with our health care providers, we'd likely receive a similar answer to that received by Ramsey. He's a great kid, really, and his family too. And AU desperately needs a seasoned O-lineman, but not at the expense of Ramsey's health.
Then why don't you turn them in to the NCAA? Actually Les simply got in touch with problem players, found out what the problem was, and then addressed it. Tuberville wouldn't pick up a phone and ask about one of his players?
Call me a buffoon but I trust Cadillacs side of the story. Just like some people posting Finebaums crap. The Media is a beating. Good to see you around Caddillac.
Considering what he attempted to do to Dorsey, I couldn't be happier with his sorry lot in life. And no, that was not just a football play -- it was a dirty attempt to injure a fellow athlete, deal a serious blow to LSU and could have cost Dorsey millions. I'm smiling broadly at the idea of Ramsey being stuck with that tattoo. guess who's coming back? And yes, this is only technically my first post... :hihi:
its easy to see people react that way because of what he did to dorsey, and maybe he did get what he deserved, but you never know, he may have just been taking orders from a coach. by the way is your pic mystikal?
