You think Ok St. is a better team than Bama?

Not sure what this has to do with Saban koolaid.

Never mind the question. It's clear you're anti-Saban sentiment is clouding your judgement...or maybe you're scared shytless. Either way, I won't mess with it. All I ask is that you please don't grab your pussy when you run and scream- there are kids around.

That is the point, however, once again in 2003, in the polls LSU and USC were one and two. OU got in because of computer rankings. In that year, the BCS did not put the two best teams in the NC. There will be those this year that argue the same. A team gets in that didn't win it's division or it's conference, just as OU didn't win it's conference. Thus, the AP awards it's final poll voting to USC.

If we win that's all moot. If we lose, phuck 'em. Let them argue over who's "best", it WOULD be debatable then.

No. But I wouldnt be even an iota surprised if they played and Ok St won. Alabama has NOT NOT NOT shown me enough to jump Ok. St (and maybe Stanford) if Ok. St. wins out.

Ie Alabama's body of work is NOT good enough to justify not winning the division, not winning the conference, not winning "the game of the century" and still jump some other major conference champion that played a tougher schedule and only has one loss.

Let me ask you a question. Assume Ok. State beats OK. What do you say to one of their fans who says "we only lost one game and that in overtime on a difficult day. We played a tougher schedule. Alabama already lost at home to LSU. Why the hell did they deserve a second chance ahead of us getting a first chance?"

I don't understand the arguing on this. The system is in place with a very specific goal: #1 vs #2. No other considerations apply. Period. We started the season with this system, and we'll finish with it. LSU has beaten every team that has stood before us, and we will do it twice more before the season is over. Let the rest of the country worry about who we play. There isn't a team in this country that can beat us which is precisely why there is a debate. Ultimately, for us, it doesn't matter. If we play our game, we take home the crystal. When the season is over, then we can talk about fixing the BCS (again). In the mean time, sit back, relax, and enjoy the greatest season of LSU football many of us have or will ever see in our lifetimes.

Watchit pal, you're sounding an awful lot like a Bama fan there. :hihi:

I agree about the body of work comment.

I can live with whatever happens cause I really believe we'll beat anyone they send us.

I'm with you....when it comes down to it, I don't give a damn who we play. My argument in these threads is with the system.

I agree with this. I stated it back in '03 when Oklahoma held on to the top seed but failed to even win the Big XII (K-State beat the Sooners in KC).

That year, in all 3 polls (Coaches, AP and BCS), the ONLY "constant" was that LSU was #2 in every one of them. OU and USC alternated 1 & 3 and it SHOULD have been USC/LSU.

This scenerio needs human correction. We beat Bama, at their house, WIN the division, PLAY for the conference title, yet they do NOTHING but sit home and wait to see if they hold on to their #2 ranking. ...Terrible.
