I really don't care who else gets in. I think we beat Bama again. I'm struggling with the issue on two fronts: One, I can't stand the Bama attitude that the best team lost on Nov. 5th and their sense of entitlement. Two, the system should not reward a team that didn't even win their division, let alone their conference. Also, if there are several one loss teams who never went head to head, isn't claiming one is better than the rest somewhat subjective? Granted, I'm confident that Bama could beat anyone else in the country however, we thought the same thing when they lost to UTAH in the Sugarbowl.
You're right, but without a playoff the system is imperfect. Several times throughout the years it's been the highest ranked not necessarily the two best.
I agree that they should add the clause to make it official. I hope that the voters enforce an unofficial, unwritten clause in order to preserve that principle from the former system. I don't want a "wildcard" team taking it all. Leave the wildcards for the NFL and MLB.
If Bama doesn't get in I'd be laughing for the very things you're saying. Just not sure if it's worth having to listen to, "We should have been the ones playing against you" for eternity. Difference being they had their eyes set on playing for a National Title and backed into that game. Was a big disappointment. On the other side, Utah was stoked to be in a BCS game. They don't know what National Championships and/or Heisman winners are.
Really? Am I? Or do you want to argue that the ranking of #1 and #2 is not intended to be the best two teams? Never mind.
Keep drinking that Saban koolaid. If Ok. St finishes strong I cannot see why Alabama deserves to go ahead of them. Sorry, I just dont buy into the "clearly Alabama is the second best team in the nation mentality." They havent proven that to me with the total of four wins against winning teams.
