That play was so telegraphed Ray Charles could see it coming.

The folks that defend Miles by saying Bama just has better talent are driving me crazy. Our recruiting rankings have been BS and Miles has been severely overrated on one of his supposed strengths, we can't develop talent, or the culture of the team is too indulgent of the players' whims of youth (not making a good enough case for players stay and allowing a ME-1st, cynical attitude to permeate the locker room).

If recruiting goes from the good list to the bad list (and maybe in some cases the ugly list), what's on the good list? He's a good man and CEO? I even question the latter if the chief of chub was allowed to erode our defensive depth.

We can't recruit QB, OL has been questionable in the past, "they" tell me DL is a shell of our former self, and we struggle with LB. that leaves a debatable "wealth" at skill positions. Curley was able to do that...

The narrative is changed to rationalize what we saw. Youth, depth, qb, recruiting. Usually it's refs and/or we simply weren't all that interested. Go figure.

You name it we can reason it out. Bottom line is the coaching from the top goes into the biggest game with one hand tied behind its back. All the shit in between is irrelevant. Until that changes we are what our record vs them says we are.

I think this is more pragmatic than defending Miles from all but the gentlest critique.

Our scheme sucks. It simply does. But it's enough to beat almost everyone else. Because we are always that talented.

Next time you hear why pass when you have the best fucking player in the nation running between the tackles you'll know why. It's because you have to prepare for your biggest game of the season knowing western Kentucky means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Just understand we are ok with 2nd while accumulating wins along the way. Fully accepting Bama is simply one loss. No need to go down swinging with that mindset. 10 wins is our barometer for success and thats more than attainable. We are never going to do anything differently because that's what gets us to 10 wins. Any thing else is simply lagniappe.

Thats what we are doing. Saturday was matter of fact proof.

Ms. State will certainly play Bama tough. but i dont think they win, unless Dak plays like Tom Brady.
