First time I've heard McCarthy's name linked to the Saints. I keep seeing Aaron Glenn and Mike Vrabel, with Glenn well in the lead.
And damn this organization...for the first time in my life, I have to pull for the Saints to lose, to make sure we kill the Falcons' playoff hopes.
According to Rod Walker, the Saints had 7 players miss extended time with hamstring injuries this season. The Pelicans have had 3 less than halfway through the season. The Saints and Pelicans extended their healthcare contract with Ochsner today.
Still haven't heard it? Betting that you have! Loomis is about to prove why he sucks so bad and should be fired.
Starting to see McCarthy now. Not in favor, don't know how much JJ's meddling affected the bottom line with him, but didn't he win a Super Bowl in Green Bay? Still think Glenn is the leader and I'm not opposed at this point. What bothers me is that there are those out there saying Loomis will have a list of current assistants he has to keep. Absolutely not, unless the list is Rizzis staying on as ST coordinator/assistant head coach, and that's the end of the list. If AG wants to keep anyone, ok, but he should have the freedom to make his own staff. I've seen some talk of Joe Brady, but there was also an article where Josh Allen state in no uncertain terms that he would be a disaster.
Vegas has McCarthy as the odds-on favorite, but lots of momentum for Kellen Moore. McCarthy, I think, is a safe choice, but I'd rather roll the dice with Moore. If its him, nothing can be announced officially until after the Super Bowl.
McCarthy removed his name from consideration. Some are freaking out, but I'm guessing he was told Moore is the guy, but they can't make it public yet.
Totally a Loomis choice. The guy was awful at Dallas and I for the life of me don't understand why anyone would want him. So glad it wasn't him. I think. This team will suck for as long as Loomis is here. The roster is trash and we have massive cap problems. Moore is between a rock and a hard place and I'm afraid he will be fired before we ever get to see if he was a good hire.
