Regional Predictions (Selection Show 11:30, Mon, ESPN)

Rules stipulate they cannot have two teams from 1 conference in the same regional. SEC can't play each other till the supers anyway. I just think it is BS to say they did it because of travel. If you want better match ups thats fine, but come out and say it. When you send East coast to west coast and keep all the regionals in the middle together, it is BS to say they did it to minimize travel. Just like its BS to say the same thing when sending Minn down to BR, UVA to California.

they still could have put UGA in the Atlanta or Clemson regional instead of the farther Tallahassee regional. id guess they didnt because UGA has played GaTech and Clemson, but not FSU.

 

You're making my point for me... That's fine if you want a better matchup or want something that hasn't happened yet, but say that. Don't lie to everyone and say you did it minimize travel. That is a bunch of BS. They could have easily sent Bama to FSU and UGA to Clemson or on and on and on. I would venture to say that some of the bigger schools travel farther because they have a bigger budgets to work with as well. I just don't like being lied to.

 

imo, uc irvine got screwed and cs fullerton got a pass.

irvine hosts fresno state, san diego state, and uva.

fullerton gets utah, gonzaga, and ga southern.
