Again, pretend that you are really sad that Tulane did not get in, just go on and on about how you wish they woulda been there.

    Hitters to watch: Jared Mitchell

Really? Acredited it to his baserunning... but there are 3-4 others on the team I would put above him. (Now, do right fielders to watch and we can put him on the top of the list!)

    Pitchers to watch: Louis Coleman

    Durrrr.

UC Irvine has a very tough road to the Super Regional. The start with the 4 seed and defending champs, Fresno St. Others in the regional include Virginia and San Diego St. (Who have the best pitcher in college baseball).

I think Miami will win the Florida Regional. Miami already swept them this year.

The entire SEC tourney is in. And scattered through 7 out of the 8 brackets.

I am not disappointed in getting a coveted national seed.
I am disappointed in the selection committee overall.
We won 5 straight to win the SEC tourney, after dropping the first game.
We are arguably one of the hottest teams in the country.
We should have been a 1 or 2, with UTA being the other.
CSF is not worthy of a 2 seed.

I think the makeup from the seeding came in the form of who is in our regional. I don't know much about MINN, but Baylor just reeks. Southern is guilty of being close in proximity to us. I hope they win a game or two after dropping the first one.

I can't imagine that a Big 10 team that doesn't see grass until the spring thaw can be all that. They did finish 2nd in the league, and they have a Team ERA of 4.65. They have 2 decent pitchers, but neither has overwhelming SO numbers. They do have an RPI of 26.

Their 2nd baseman, McCallum, is hitting .404, with 17 dongs and 79 rbi. I don't care who you are, thats solid numbers.

Definitely ready to go to the "Sweat Box" on Friday afternoon. Bring your sunscreen and wide-brim hats. Its gonna be a hot one.
