This was an awesome win. Jordan Jefferson, after playing a not-so-great game, came back in the fourth quarter with a tremendous amount of poise and heart and got the job done. Exactly what you would want out of your QB with the game on the line. The defense played lights out all game and I believe that the scores they gave up were a product of being on the field nearly the entire second half. Which brings me to my main point is that the big problem on this team right now is that the offense can't seem to get things going. We had two redzone drives in the first quarter stall and had way too many three-and-outs. That type of play WILL bite us in the butt later on down the line when we play the likes of Florida, Auburn, and Bama. There were multiple occasions where we should've gone ahead and couldn't get the job done, whether it be poor blocking up front, poor decision making, or poor play-calling. What I hate seeing here is that when somebody offers analysis like that, immediately you have retards jump on their backs for being haters and not being fans. What the F ever. I'm a huge LSU fan, but I'm also going to call it like I see it. Not everything is sunshine and lollipops and puppydog tails. That being said, GEAUX TIGERS and bring on Tebow!!! Now, cue the inevitable "hater" posts.
Great post. I'm very happy with our team right now. Sure we still have some things to work on still but all teams do. We CAN beat Florida too. I've seen much bigger upsets than this would be. In fact right now I'm liking our chances.
Your thread is very good and you ae not hating at all. You made good points. All is good. However, you did not start a thread saying time to dump the QB, or Time for the head coach to go. Those are the haters and deserve all the bashing they receive. :geauxtige
To all the "haters" and "non-haters" out there, this: Lets all lighten up and enjoy the win(e) people ! :thumb:
It was nice to see the defense have a great game. I've been missing our game controlling defense this last year and a half. And the offense seemed to be able to move fairly easily between the 20's. Nice effort.
Constructive critizism and being a "Hater", is 2 different things. Yours is a very good analysis of the game. I'd add the offens in the 1st half was pretty crisp at moving the ball, just needs to figure out how to get across the goal line. We had T.O.P advantage, yrdg advantage, and a score that should have been higher. 2nd half, different story.
To the Saban-lovers: Saban coached LSU to the most humiliating loss to Georgia in LSU History. Saban's last team at LSU got beat down 16-45 @ Georgia in 2004. How in the hell did that happen? Here are all the losses LSU had to Georgia in history... who stands out as the biggest loser? 2004 -- 29 pts (16-45) -- Saban!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1948 -- 22 pts (0-22) 1991 -- 21 pts (10-31) 2005 -- 20 pts (14-34) 1947 -- 16 pts (19-35) 1952 -- 17 pts (14-27) 1978 -- 14 pts (17-24) 2008 -- 14 pts (38-52) 1979 -- 7 pts (14-21) 1949 -- 7 pts (0-7) 1999 -- 1 pt (22-23) 1998 -- 1 pt (27-28)
john, i think you missed the "fast reply poll" thread with that post. :rolleye33: pointing out we still have some areas we need to improve in while being estatic over a win does not make people "saban lovers". give it a break.:rolleye33:
Well this old Tiger is just glad this team seems to know how to win. I'll take starting the season 5 - 0 anytime. Anyone know what the deal is with the sick linemen?? ldskule:
