JJ and JL are the two most criticized athletes of LSU sports history and now in the midst of their final chapter. It's only fitting that they will both contribute to the team's success or failure. With the Golden Era of the program now into its 2nd decade, the only "success" is to win the whole damn thing in Nola. Quite a heavy burden for a bunch of 18-22 yr old kids. The extreme passion from LSU fans can either work for or against the team. At times, I believe it has affected both JJ and JL's on the field performance. While they have matured and are better prepared to handle the scrutiny as seniors, this ultimate redemption story will include how WE handle it. Miles has been hammered and was on thin ice exactly ONE YEAR ago. Stud was nearly run off by the fans for the OL play a couple of years ago. Both have earned our trust. They will put the players on the field that helps us win THAT game. JL may bring a skill set that attacks certain teams better than JJ and vice versa. Both appear to be great kids with tremendous resolve. Let's send them off with some Tiger love like they truly deserve.
Nice post:thumb: That pretty much sums it up. Just hope the team stays focussed, including both QB's. The opposing sentiments on the part of the fans can actually be distracting to the team.
Great Post with great perspective. Its fitting really that JL & JJ have a chance to go out on the Ultimate high. They are tied at the hip. The last 4 years have been wacky and wild both on and off the field. I think this year is the culmination of it all.
Great post and I agree totaly. We stand together behind our team and make plans for a night in NO in January:miles:
Great post old buddy. It's been a long journey since that "Bring Back the Magic" game huh? I really respect both of our qb's. It's been very tough at times for both of them. Let's hope we've heard the last of the vocal minority and their sanctimonious booing.
