:geaux::crystal::helmet: Parso, maybe you can remember this guys name, but there was a highly rated OL out of Mississippi who was a strong commit to LSU but ended up changing to Ole Miss at the last minute due to his Mother or Father having a serious illness? I remember he was pretty bummed about having to change his commit, but family comes first. Just wish I could remember the kids name and how he ended up with his career. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

I hate to say it; for Lane, I would doubt it because of his "mindset" issues.

Patrick Turner and Vidal Hazelton were both players that LSU was interested in IIRC. Hazelton was probably more serious than Turner, but neither of them have turned out to be better than anyone currently on LSU's roster at receiver I don't think.

    Do you remember the year?

I remember a player transferring to Arkansas because of a sick parent, but thats it.

Committed and then switched to Arkansas. He will start at WR this year as a junior.

Hazelton is only gonna be a soph or junior this coming season, he's still got a lot of growin room. I'd prob say he and Terrance Tolliver are pretty close in talent, production and potential...both will be elite receivers however you cut it.

Watson was actually a TB in high school, and a good baseball player as you said. He got 2 or 3 carries as a true freshman behind Cadillac, Brown, etc, and then transferred to SLU. One season there splitting time at TB, and had a few decent games. But now he's at Nicholls, and I hear he's talked of playing both football and baseball. Sorry to say this about a Morgan City kid, and fellow Central Catholic alum, but LSU didn't miss anything with him. A good kid, but he just can't seem to figure out what he wants.

That was what I was getting at. He screwed up and LSU looked elsewhere.

:geaux::crystal::helmet: No, don't remember the year exactly, but should have been around '04 - '05 range. The more I think about it, seems like his last name was Kirkland maybe, or something similar to that. The guy from Arkansas was an LB from Little Rock who came in the same year as Helms did. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
