Does anyone know how many football recruits attended the spring game? Any information about them – name, position, where they are from, etc? Dandy Don had some information, but I wondered if anyone else had more information. ldskule:
I saw Deron Thomas the Dual Threat QB from Texas up close and personal he is really skinny needs to put some muscle on. Seen some incoming freshman like Slidell Corely, Phelon Jones they re really cool ppl. I seen when all the recruits were about to walk through the weight room to take a tour so maybe somebody else can enlightnen us on who all where there but i know it was a nice size group.
Yes, Sidell and Phelon were there. They, along with their dads, stayed with Chevis Jackson. Mr. Corley and Mr. Jones coached him at McGill Toolen in Mobile so I guess they are still tight.
Mr. Jones was the WR coach (just during spring ball) and 7th and 8th grade coach at St. Paul's where he coached Chevis. :thumb:
I spoke to Sidell Corley, Sr. on the phone on Friday before the scrimmage. When I asked him where he was staying, he said that they were staying at Chevis' apartment. He said "we used to coach Chevis, you know?" . I just assumed it was at McGill Toolen. Thanks for the clarification.:thumb:
