This is a question not a statement. But does a beating like this really hurt LSU in recruiting with so many big names having LSU on their short list ? Look if we like it or not the "Miles won with Saban's players" talk is going to fire back up big time, a great deal on the recruiting trails. Yes I know it was one game, and people lose games. But LSU wasnt really competitive tonight, they got hammered. Does something like this hurt recruiting. Like I said a question not a statement
It won't make much of a difference. You never hear of a kid decide on a school based on the outcome of a game. Debose was reportedly quoted as saying that the outcome of this game would be a factor in deciding between Florida and LSU. That may very well be the case, but when the season is over, that game will long be forgotten and he probably still hasn't made up his mind.
No, in fact it probably helped. We need a few more DL & a bigtime Safety & a couple fast LB'ers. Cornerbacks still learning. It showed.
Definitely another way to look at it, and good point. OLBs, safeties, corners, hell even d-linemen have to look at this game and say I can definitely contribute on this team to make it better.
If you're a quality LB you have to think you can come in and compete for a starting job as a freshman. It's been a long long time since LSU has had 3 quality SEC caliber LB's on the field at the same time.
now, now, red. you know thats not how it works. nicks players are only responsible for wins. play by the "rules" here.
Bama garnered the number one recruiting class a year after going 6-6. If you can recruit, you can recruit and Miles is known for being an exceptional recruiter. The Florida game won't change that.
I think a lot depends on the rest of the season. It might be a difference for kids deciding between LSU and UF. If LSU continues to play flat like last night and pathetic coaching. That might cause a few kids to reconsider. Espcially if they want to win right away. These next few games will show a lot about the coaching and character of LSU.
