It's my understand that Rivals has a lot more $ and manpower directed towards recruiting than Scout does.
Then when does LSU add in to the mix with overrated recruits? Or do they? Why is DJ Shoemate's drop in the rankings irrelevant? He's been a USC commit for two years, has been a stud so far this season, and all of a sudden he drops? I'm asking why did that happen if there's such a bias for USC/Left Coast recruits? I have no knowledge of the Rival's CEO. If as you say, he's cheated in the past and gotten in trouble for it, then his professional character should be suspect.
Goode is injured, not enough evidence to support anything right now. Jackson? Are you serious? He's in the top 10 for INT's this year in the SEC. He's a freshman getting starting time. One hell of a game against UT this year with two INT's. How many did Ainge throw before that game?
Parso wasn't clear on this one. It's not the SEC (as in Southeastern Conference) it's the SEC as in Securities and Exchanges Commission.
Not true. They were rated this way because of Rivals evaluation of them after their Prep School's Pro Days where over 100 coaches and hundreds of scouts went to watch them. Goode had tons of offers but they did not show because he committed to Kentucky out of high school. Kareem Jackson literally was offered on the spot by every single coach there that day and was the most impressive DB there. BTW, FSU has the most members on Rivals and they bitch more and more about players dropping than anyone else. And I believe I saw on Rivals website that Auburn has had more players move up that Alabama over the past five years...CEO guy must suck at his job.
Probably more to do with funny money I guess but it wouldn't be hard to suggest that one who cheats the government might also cheat the college football rating system. I mean come on, college football is about the only thing Martha Stewart hasn't tried to infiltrate although I hear she wants to talk to Phil Knight. :hihi:
Considering it was a "pump and dump" scheme I figured it would have something to do with other schools classes being over-rated because Rivals blew up their evaluations. I love the Martha Stewart reference considering her history as a stock broker, etc.
