    The problem I had with "The Rev" at the time was that without confirmation its source could have just as likely fed them a line of bull, on a front page story no less, that would have ended up with an omelet all over their face. Kinda like everybody's "sources" last year that guaranteed Crowton was going to get axed.

    Anyway, this looks like a wrist slap situation, but with the NCAA who really knows?

    Didn't the Reveille report that Mccarthy gave Hicks cash? That doesn't sound like what happened here.

    I'd just like to point out for the hundredth time that I always hated that DJ Mccarthy as a coach. I didn't realize he was a cheater too but I hate that about him now as well.

    Why?

    It's in LSU's best interest to be completely open about violations. The NCAA cuts schools some slack with single-player cases that aren't reflective of lack of institutional control. This one isn't, so LSU would be very foolish to try to hide anything from the NCAA and get hammered for it. We have never done so in the past.
