Rumors floating around that charges will be dropped and he will enroll in January. I have had a few from Redemptorist say the same to me since NSD and very recently. Guess we will know pretty soon.

I don't know if it's the same sources, but I heard the same rumor from a retired lawyer who isn't really prone to talking out of his ass.

...at least for a lawyer... :)

    Quarterback

Blem, Who do you think LSU will recruit for a quarterback this year? I mean the picking are getting kinda slim aren't they? This Young man from Mississippi that weighs 270#? I never heard of a guarterback that big. can he move at all & will we sign a average to below average player just to keep the quarterback (one per year) ball rolling? I was just looking at Scout & Rivals listings at that position & there isn't much available in the southeast that hasn't already committed somewhere else. Whats your feelings or anyone else out there that has some good input..

Jeremy Liggins is a special athlete and can play QB and he has some wheels. Weird to think about but he would most likely play DE if QB doesn't work out. TE is also an option.

Another MS QB is Anthony Alford who is a major Baseball prospect but he and his family are really talking up it being his dream to play both sports in college. Guess we will see. We may offer him as an ATH who will start at QB. Very good prospect.

We lead for both and could take both. I could see Liggins get pulled to saying home as NSD approaches but going to be hard for him to turn LSU down if we really want him.

Another guy to keep an eye on is recent Indiana decommit Gunner Kiel. He has a brother who plays at Indiana but had Bama and LSU as his top 3. Now looks like ND, LSU , and Michigan are all very high on his interest list. I would assume he stays up north but we have a good shot at him.

:geaux: Bhelm, noticed that Scout now lists Derrick Raymond as a "soft verbal". Anything to worry about there or is he just taking visits?

Also, do you have any recent updates/info on some of the big hitters still on the LSU board? What's the latest on Landon Collins, Lorenzo Phillips & Deval?
Would also like to know what you think of LSU's chances of signing Richie Brown, LB from Mississippi. Is LSU still interested in him? Also, what's it look like for Kwon Alexander?

Finally, what is LSU's chances with those kids who decomitted from FSU?

Thanks in advance. :thumb: Recruiting has been pretty slow lately. :LSU231:

About to hit the sack so I will get to most of these questions tomorrow. Please send me a reminder if I forget.

As for Raymond, Scout automatically knocks commits to Soft if they take visits. Well at least supposed to but he should be moved back to solid after his review of the Nebraska visit. Gave it a 10 but said LSU is still is #1 and just needed to make sure he made the right decision. Translation = free trips.
