Is their any chance we take a safety in this class? I was looking at our prospect, their doesnt seem to be any safeties.
I think we do need a safety. Our depth at the safety position is not great. Hatcher may end up playing FB for all we know, since we don't have depth there either. These are guys we are looking at currently: S Kevin Brent--Texas (4*) S Stephon Gilmore--South Carolina (4*) S DeVonte Holloman--North Carolina (4*) S Zawanza Starling--Florida (NR) S David Connor--Mississippi (NR) I think we will offer Craig Loston, who is arguably the best safety prospect in the country and could be tied to McFarland, Shepard and Lipscomb as part of a potential domino effect for LSU recruiting.
I think we take 3-4 DB's in this class (we have Janzen Jackson & Calhoun already), with one of them being a Safety if we can get them. Safety isn't a real big need right now though. :geaux::crystal::helmet: As far as depth at fullback, what about Kellen Theriot? Thougbt he was the #1 rated fullback prospect in the nation. Is he going to be used elsewhere, such as LB? Hope he stays at FB. Also, what about Steven Ridley? Thought he was also originally recruited as an FB. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
Theriot is on campus already and is on the 2 deep at LB. He won't be a FB, as we need the depth at LB much more. We have Steven Ridley & Charles Scott putting in some reps at FB.
