:geaux: I agree. I'd like to see us recruit the D/FW area more. Great talent there and a lot of LSU fans as well. Also quite a bit of talent in the Tyler/Longview/Marshall and Texarkana areas that LSU could dip into. No use letting Arkansas and Oklahoma get most of it. They recruit down here so let's get in their areas as well. Guess we'll see if CLM expands to these areas in the future. :LSU231:

Now is the time. We just landed 2 of the best recruits in Texas.(Shep and Loston) We could build on that success and branch out a little.

point given what you are not seeing or refuse to see is our presence was in florida. saban showed that we could get players from florida every year recruits are hit and miss 3 out of seven is great. as far as carter who knows what he could have done if he actually tried . carter took the sport he thought he would be better in whose to say if he would have been great he definately had the tools

I can only second a bunch of what has been said with regard to recruiting Georgia, Florida and east Texas. But what about Mobile? I can recall a number of good guys coming from that part of the country lately and would love to continue that process that seems to be slipping away.

And regardless of where the players are, I am confident in the Miles/Porter team to go where every they need to and work very, very hard to make LSU as an attractive a place to come play as possible to the guys.

X had the tools to run real fast in a straight line. He couldn't run routes or catch anything.

As far as your "trying" comment, I'm just going to ignore that as I find it reprehensible to think that a D1 CFB player would not "try".

No! I think i will ignore that becuase i have seen a few guys not "try" who were D1 CFB players. I know of a few examples of a few guys from my hometown.

Miles is averaging about 2 Florida commits per year, the same as Saban.

Don't know but I smell a rhetorical question.

Last year = better than average LA class and some great early commits from Texas and GA. So we didn't need to hit FL quite as hard. And we were STILL in the running for Debose and maybe Ray Ray until late in the game.

Our new recruiting coord knows FL as well, does he not?

I think we're more than fine.
