Needs in this class excluding Benton and Duplessis: 0 QBs 0 RBs ( will take TR though if he wants to come) 0 FB 1-2 WRs 0-1 OL 2 Safeties 2 LBs 0 DT 1 DE 0 CBs
I have heard this across many message boards for some reason but I have no clue why people are saying that. Rocky is helping coach his old HS team and training and he has said that he will be on campus as expected. He stays in constant contact with the LSU coaches.
I wasnt even counting Duplessis in this class, neither Benton. 20 included Barrow, but not these guys.
Last year may have been his window. If we pull in 4 receivers this year, Randle, Debose, Bell, and Benton, which does not even consider some of the other athletes that might play the position, where is the room for someone that couldn't make it on campus? You can point to Benton, but the upside between him and Rocky are not even in the same ball park. This does not even consider the kids from last year that made it and have redshirted, Tolliver, Peterson, etc. Don't think we can do this with him. When he walks on the campus, he should count unless he grey shirts. Unless there is some secret recruiting rule I don't know about, and that is always a possibility with me. :yelwink2:
Benton is looking like a definite and it has been stated by MikeS that he WILL count towards the 09 class.
Maybe I am confused, you do know Rocky was recruited to LSU as a Safety right? Which we will need especially if we miss out on another besides Loston in this class.
You know I did know that, but totally brain farted. Somehow I said Rocky when I was thinking Molton. I think I was carrying on two conversations at once. Pay no attention to me!
