I have heard many people speculate on the negative effect the Georgia loss might have had on our recruits. Also comments on the crowd leaving so early. Rivals has posted several interviews showing that is not the case. At least not according to the recruits.

    Devonte Holloman - 4* S
    Jon Bostic - 4* LB
    Kevin Minter - 4* LB
    Chris Garrett - 3* QB
    Connor Wood - Junior QB
    Trent Richardson - 5* RB

Time will tell if these were honest thoughts or not. I am hopeful. :thumb:

Any prospect that makes a decision based on a single loss is an idiot. I doubt if the loss to Georgia will be a deciding factor with many prospects. The relationship they have developed with the coaching staff, how they would fit in to the offensive/defensive system, chances of playing early, sports and academic facilities and parental influence are much more important factors.

Holloman, says he gave the trip a 9.5, its not a 10 because of the lost. But in the article, it seems like he was very impressed with LSU.

I were a big time S or LB Id look hard at LSU. Those are the two big defensive postions that have been the major weak links. Sure the DL hasnt lived to expectations but theyve play well enough outside of the Florida game. Except when the poor coaching kept over using the Express packaga against UGA.

It doesn't seem to have hurt. Recruits understand that teams struggle with a young QB & that LSU won't be down for long.

Also, Shepard is really selling them on being part of a special class & their talent turning it around for us quickly.

How fortunate are we that being ranked in the top 15 offers the opportunity for "turning it around"

Not related to the thread at all, but I started it so I don't care. What if we beat bama, and Florida beats bama in the SECCG? History tells us that the loser in the SECG falls hard. If Texas and PSU meet in the NCG, Florida would go to the Sugar bowl, but we could potentially be the next highest ranked SEC team, ahead of bama and Georgia.

Where would we play? Islstl has no doubt already worked the probabilities.
