Something else to consider. I know every year there are academic and character casualties, but last year seemed to have more than its share. I think both Lacy and Sentimore would have been ranked higher had it not been for their problems. Their may have been others also.

LSU's class this year doesn't look to be "star-studded" like last years. However, the class has some guys who aren't quite 5 stars but have the potential to be amazing players - guys like Maclin, Vinson & Simon.

Players like Fordham & Bates don't draw a lot of excitement, but it's important to have guys like that on the team and it's not like the whole class is made out of them.

I think LSU will take 4-5 receivers this year. Their is a big uncertain future at WR beyond this year. Molten is reportedly tore his ACL too, which might explain why they're taking more receivers. That is sad too, he was tearing it up.

I think we're doing fine right now. We almost have a top 10 spot locked up. A few guys make me scratch my head but I'm not the coaching staff. We're filling all our needs up. One thing I've noticed is LSU is taking a lot of "athletes" in this class...don't know if LSU is doing that because they feel so good at depth right now or what.

How does LSU stand with Trovon Reed? DD has him the top Louisiana recruit Comparable to Percy Harvin. Where is he leaning, any inside info??

All the recruiting sites have been very quiet regarding TR. Last I read, there's very little drama with him. He's looking around, but the feeling is still strong that he's P&G.

In fact, some think he'll draw Lache into the P&G with him. Dunno.

Considering the fact that just happened I doubt it has anything to do with it. We lose 3 WRs this year & only took 1 last year - that's the main reason we're on so many this year.

    Specifics? Fordham? Muncie?

LSU has always taken a fair amount of athletes, but Cooper supposedly especially likes guys like that. It's always good to have athletes because they give you options if depth becomes an issue at one of their positions.
