Schlitz and Old Milwaukee are what we would buy in college when we were low on funds. Also Busch Lite as these were on sale. I also used to buy andre champagne at 1.29 a bottle. But too much gave you a bad headache. I will never forget in college me and 8 other friends went to a casino night for auction items. Top prize was a 50 gallon keg of draft beer. We all pooled our money and others were bidding on the other prizes. When the keg came we bid every dollar and no one could beat us. Spring fever weekend we got it and floated it. I don't remember much about that weekend but people said I had a great time. Thank god im not up for supreme court.
My great grandfather++++++was a rice farmer back in the day around Eunice (in the La HOF of Farmers). His brothers started Fabacher beer in New Orleans bough out by Jackson Brewery.
My first duty station in the Navy was in Va. They sold this crap beer called Piels.....79 cents a 6 pack on sale at 7-11. Had to have ice crystals in it to be drinkable.
Squid here, too. LoL. What was your rate? I was Deck first year, then RP my last 3 years on the USS Camden.
I spent many an hour in the seat of a John Deere tractor prepping the rice field for planting. And what was the thing called that you pulled behind the tractor in the fall when you were harvesting the rice. You pulled up to the combine and it transferred the rice into that thing. You then took it to the truck and transferred it into the truck. It's the shits to get old.
You wouldn't believe HOW BIG they are now. They hold as much as the whole rice truck used to. Rice varieties yield 3 x per acre what they used to. Everything is so big now, Most farmers are putting up,their own bins these days to dry and store,it. They are like 4 x the capacity they used to be.
