I have two ways of seeing it. 1st is business. Just as I stated above, it isn't in the best intrest of the powers that be for college football to be a regional affair. 2nd is personal. I hate bama and want whatever causes the most suffering to their fanbase.
I"m going to have to say that your first reason is probably what will rule the day. This whole thing is about money. The other conferences are not going to be left out of the money. The NCAA is not going to limit its viewership by making it a regional event because of money. If Okie State beats OU, they will be a lock for the NCG. The powers that be will manipulate whatever needs to be manipulated in order to make that happen. I doubt anyone here would be suprised how a mention of an NCAA audit will change your mind about who you think is #2.
Careful. That counts 6-6 Texas A&M (#12), 7-4 Texas (#14), 7-5 Missouri (#18), 8-4 Tulsa (#27) and 6-5 Iowa St. (#29). Their 2 best wins come against 9-2 Kansas St. (#11), 8-3 Baylor (#16),
Lsu will beat the snot out of okie lite. That's fine by me. I like beating up the big 12. Bama is a better team than the cowboys. That's why it's going to chap their arse when they get left out. That's even finer by me. We get to blow the big 12 away and expose them on national tv. Miles beats his old school. Bama gets left out. Bamaland melts down. Auburn fans point and laugh at bama fans and call in on their radio shows rubbing salt in the bleeding wound. Lsu gets the crystal and bama gets the shaft. Perfect!
@ Texas A&M, @ Tulsa (#27) @ Texas (#22), @ Missouri (#25), Baylor (#16), K-State (#11) and Oklahoma (#10) to be played. Alabama's only significant wins - Arkansas(?) and Penn St. (#25).
I nominate RWilliams for president of the He-man Bama-Haters Club! You're speaking my language. :geaux:
I hate me some bama. There is absolutely no doubt about it. If I could have to choose one of these two things. One, be with the lsu team when they get the official word they have been selected to play in nola for the bcsnc or two, get to be a fly on the wall in the bama lockerroom when they find out they didn't get in all the time recording the crying moment of remorseful suffering, I would have to be the fly on the wall.
Thats like OU fans putting upside-down longhorn plates on their vehicles. I'd much rather celebrate my team's success than a rival's misery, but that's just me.
I get it, I just can't find any credibility in a poll that says a 6-6 team is the 12th best team in the nation.
