I'll ask again, who are they?

If you don't think teams and fans don't get fired up playing the defending national champs, then you didn't pay attention to all the teams wanting to beat up on Florida this year, including LSU.

I'll let you return to your fantasyland.

John Williams, Phelon Jones, Jai Eugene, Danny McCray, Chad Jones, Stefon Francois. But I guess I am a fool to think some of these guys could be really good and just havent had a chance to play. I guess we make it a practice to recruit horrible players cause we feel bad for them.

Fantasyland, huh. I thought this was a prediction thread, I guess you can predict the future, thats why I am so wrong and living in a fantasy land right.

How did McCray fare covering WRs this year? If a backup safety is a better option than a backup CB, then only a fool wouldn't be worried about our CB play next year. Doesn't mean they won't get better, but no one should feel comfortable with it, unless you choose to ignore the obvious.

If you don't like predictions, then these boards aren't a good place to be. It's what fans do. It's no different than predicting LSU beating OSU.

someone can predict 4 losses and still not be a fair weatherer. it is possible although i'm sure it's a shock to some on this board. it's called being realistic and it has nothing to do with someone's fandom. (this is not a shot at you personally, spartan, but some on here would say the same thing you just did and i don't agree.)

so my two cents is that we'll go 9-3 with losses to UGA, Fla, and AU.

all three of those teams return a whole mess of starters and two of the three are on the road. if we lost to ark this year, we can darn sure lose to UGA at home next year. i agree with (i think it was parso) who said the secondary will be a weak point. we'll also need leaders to step up on offense but i think RP and byrd can do that. the west race will be tough but it'll be up to AU to control their destiny and i think we'll be watching those AU-UGA and AU-bama games pretty close.

the best race in the sec will be UGA-UF.

but that's a long way away and they'll be much more time to talk about it in the off season. hopefully, we'll be talking about being the "two time, two time, two time!!" BCS champions at that time.

Why do y'all think Auburn will beat us next year? They have a huge question mark at QB and the last time I check they don't have a pile of All Americans lined up on defense. There best defensive player is graduating.

We are in much better shape as a football team than they will be.

How do you guys know that our d-backs ar gonna suck next year? All these guys will have another year under their belt to learn and be taught. Zenon and Jackson never set the world on fire but they turned out pretty good. Hell we are like everyone else you can't have all SEC players at every position. We will be very strong in the front seven and the safeties will be even better. I like our chances with that defense they will be very fast.

It probably has something to do with the home team winning the last few years, even when the home team isn't the better team. Next year would be a good time to snap that streak.

No one said they would suck. The reality is our backup CBs didn't see much action. McCray, a backup safety, was used in nickel and dime to cover WRs and got burned many times. CBs are suppose to be better cover guys than safeties. The obvious question is why they didn't see the field in place of McCray in passing situations.

We'll have two green CBs starting next year. They might turn out to be the greatest CBs ever, but opinions are based on what we know today. We know they couldn't beat out a backup safety who struggled in pass coverage.

Offshore trash, please dont have a free thought like that here, you have to get in line with TigerWins and other people here. Didnt you know you are wrong for this kind of opinion? Shame on you. Im telling.

BTW, good post, I made the same points earlier, but Im not right. Cause the home team won every year in the Auburn series that mean we will lose this time cause thats just the way it is......

I was about to post this as well. Zenon and Jackson were very much unknowns going into the '05 season and they were very good DBs as it turned out.

I still remember people on this forum salivating over getting Phelon Jones and Stefon Francois to commit to LSU. They will be just fine.

Don't give yourself so much credit. Your point was "LSU fans" have no balls and guts for suggesting we might lose a couple of games ... like we did this year, and last year, and the year before that.

Yep you are right, forgive me just for having hope that we go undefeated or lose just one game. you know it has happen before in the history of college football, that a team goes undefeated.
