This isn’t semantics. You can’t provide an example of someone who has earned something and yet is not deserving of it. Edit:I suppose it is semantics. But the point stands.
I don't think he grasps the meaning of the word earn. An undeserving rich guy might have inherited money he didn't deserve but anybody who gets something by working for it deserves it because they earned it.
