The track fields are a common factor in most college football stadiums outside of the SEC - most non-SEC schools just don't have the land to build separate facilities to accommodate each sport. I am just looking forward to actually playing the Huskies in Seattle and enjoying a change of scenery. Not everyone can keep up with the Joneses ... ... sorry ... ... meant to say the Boudreauxs!
I don't think so. Husker stadium holds 72,500. I don't know of any high school stadiums that hold anywhere close to that many. That said, the high school stadium here holds 17,500 and they will put about 22,000 in it (sitting on the grass behind the end zones) for the annual cross town rivalry game. We are all spoiled though by TS.
I've always thought UDubs stadium was pretty cool with the water boundary and boats anchoring off the end zone for the games there. I mean, no other stadium can claim that, that I know of. TS definitely spoils, and UW may need a facelift, but it is unique and an incredible setting. To me, my three favorite stadiums are #1 - TS, #2 UGA (between the hedges is also very unique), and #3 UW just because of the Puget on the border.
I found this interesting... (as per Wiki FWIW) Woulda never known that. Someone that's going, let us know how loud it is with a bunch of LSU fans in the place.. :tigereye:
