I give credit to 95 of the 110 wins to Pelini and to Chavis. They put us in position to win. They gave us a lot of short fields and several points
Disagree totally. Head Coach has to get the credit for it. Just like when a team is losing the Head Coach takes the beating for it.
I agree with a lot of this including its time to change although not for the same reasons as you. However, some items of disagreement or requiring clarity Arnsbarger struggled with recruiting - didn't like it. He was really not in the Miles/Saban class of recruiting. HOWEVER - he was the best preparation and game day coach we have ever had. I don't believe McClendon and Archer were about being cheap. I think they were thought to be the best path to continuation to build on recent success. Archer was clearly not ready I'l like to hear more about why Miles was a deer in the headlights with Urban - who many consider the 1st or 2nd best college coach and who was also at the peak of his best program. Miles went 3 - 3 against Urban; famously won with 5 4th down conversions. I don't consider that deer in the headlights, but I'm open to listening to how your analysis led you to that conclusion. With respect to the 'lets not be afraid' mantra that is popular on the board. You can be afraid of change AND you can be afraid of seeing a process through. 'Shit we gotta do something even if its wrong' can be as much of an act of fear as fear of change. In either case if you act in opposition to what you feel to be true - fear is likely a component.
Then y'all hire him as OC when Lame Kitten leaves and keep him as long as you like, it's time for LSU to move on.
Then don't just do something for the sake of doing it. Do your due diligence and at least have a plan of succession in place, even if your ideal candidate isn't available. I know it's easier said than done and this administration has done ZERO to this point that leads you to believe they've done any due diligence or have a succession plan in place.
Not according to several credible posters on here who seem to have inside connections. It just hasn't been public knowledge.
What are you talking about? They're letting Miles finish the regular season. Do you really want them to announce the new coach before they fire Miles?
Of course not. I've already posted the bungles they've made so far. That's what I'm talking about. They've done nothing thus far that inspires any sort of confidence in them. In fact, they've done the opposite.
A booster leaked information, the AD said no comment. Meanwhile he's out looking for and if rumor is correct HAS a HC waiting in the wings. Which part did Alleva bungle?
