I love this time of year. I can hardly wait to see my Tigers come out of that Tunnel and have our band come down the hill and have our tiger faithfull once again on cherished ground of Tiger Stadium . I have been a Tiger fan since the age of three ( 51 Years ) laying on the floor of our house listening to the radio voice of John Ferguson and my favorite coach Charlie Mac. Being a fan of the Tigers is about much more than winning and losing a sporting event. It comes down to sharing the Experience with my family and friends and talking on the phone with my dad and brother and going over the good times and reliving the games. Living in California now I never miss a Tiger game on TV and spend more time than I should following the tigers on Internet and such. But you don't have to gone to LSU to be a Tiger. I went to ULM but I have always been a Tiger. And always will be. When I can I save up my change and when I get enough I make a trip down to a game. I go about every 3 years and my whole family gets together in Baton Rouge from all over. I look forward to it as soon as a trip is completed. I feel like I am on cherished ground when I am at a game and I love our grand old refurbished stadium. It is funny I have talked to some 49er fans in the bay area and they love the new Levi stadium but it isnt home yet because all their memories are based at piece of crap Candlestick. They havnt had anything special happen at Levi yet. That is how I feel about Tiger Stadium. It is still the place of Bert Jones over Ole Piss with one second, Billy Cannon run against ole piss, earthquake game, tenn game after Katrina , Tommy Cassanova, Dalton Hilliard, Glenn Dorsey, and on and on. I just relish pulling for the LSU Tigers and win or lose, Rain or shine we will be pulling for our Tigers and sharing the experience with the people we love. It is a privilege to pull for LSU and thank you to all LSU athletes and students and fans for making it one of the joys of my life. Geaux Tigers Give em hell guys and remember to use the force. The force is always with you.
Once we start playing real teams my interest will perk. Just can't get up for the disgusting tradition of playing pansies to pad the record.
I just glad to be able to see what the. possibilities are without having to guess. At times this summer it has felt like today would never come. Now I have to find something to do until kickoff
you should get your les miles voodoo doll out and poke the shit out of it. i do have one of nick saban with a liar liar movie thing wrapped around it. i bought it from some dude years ago right after he bailed. hes miserable as a doll too.
I'm hosting around 60 people at my house for the now-annual "Wear Your College Colors" party. My Texas Tech neighbor has had his industrial smoker in my driveway since 10 a.m. Best time of the year...
