I doubt Meyer would completely change his offense to help Tebow but, if he thinks it would work and help Tebow then who knows? He may feel that he owes Tebow for coming back. Maybe he doesn't change the whole offense but installing some plays here and there that result in snaps under center is conceivable. Even if Meyer wasnt considering it I wouldnt put it past him to tell Richardson he was. Meyer has been known to blow smoke. If he wants to thwart Saban bad enough he could say anything.
selfish would be the other way around at the expense of the team's success. improving tebow's stock simply as a favor to him would be beyond selfish.
Tebow will do whatever helps Florida win. The NFL is priority #2 for him right now. I do know Meyer is known for blowing smoke, so it wouldn't surprise me if he said that either. There is talk of using some under center formations in garbage time I think, which there will hopefully be plenty of. If it gets Trent to UF, I don't care what Urb says.
Does it really matter? Saint Tebow will be gone either way after next year so does it make that much of a difference where he takes the snap? It's not like they have anoter TT waiting in the locker room. Good grief lets hope not at least. I hope we get TR but I just don't see how the usage of a QB for 1 year makes that much of a difference.
the point is not the qb. its the offense meyer runs which is the spread option which doesnt really utilize a power back. a legitimate argument although not necessarily the deciding factor by TR. only he knows--and 1.6 million gumptards.
Richardson told the Alabama coaches last night that Meyer said he was changing the offense and going to more I-formation to prove Tebow is an NFL QB. Take it FWIW. Did Meyer actually say this? Believable Would Meyer do it? Unbelievable Alabama supposedly has an in-home with Richardson tonight.
I remember something like that also if i remember correctly he told Josh Portis some false promises about Tebow playing another position as well.
