OBG contends that Florida is heads above the rest of the SEC heading into 2009. I think we can all agree with this. Their defense will be even more outrageous next year and Tebow is well, Tebow. He mistakently kept referring to 2010 when he meant 2009. Therefore, some fine members of TF came to the defense of LSU. And rightfully so. Then it got cleared up and everyone kissed. I think. The other argument is over Richardson and who is in 2nd place for his services. OBG thinks it is Florida. Many of our members believe it's LSU. He rated the Florida trip a 10 and the LSU trip an 8, pushing a 9. I don't think you can argue vehemently in either direction. Great discussion. No blood was loss. We're all happy campers.
Thanks for wasting the last half of the thread arguing about Florida. The thread is suppose to be about TR. That's the info I was looking for.
TR may have had a better trip to UF, but I just don't see him as a great fit for that offense. I think this will be pointed out to him by both Alabama & LSU.
Forget Richardson...am I the only one who still has faith that Tebow will return as he promised to separate the tigers from the gators before the throne of Waterford in fulfillment of the sacred postings? Lets talk about Tebow and the end of days.... Tirk?... John?.
I just read on Dandy Don that Trent Richardson decommitted from Bama. I was busy yesterday and this is the first I've heard of it. I've kinda browsed through this thread, but I still don't know definitively if TR has decommitted from Alabama or not. Can anyone fill me in?
It's only rumor so far, it started on a local radio show yesterday from what I can tell. The last official thing out of his mouth on record was that he was still committed to Bama and if he changed his mind, it would be on signing day.
Exactly. And, he has significant family connections now in an area near BR, so that helps us out a lot. Hopefully, he likes the BR area and LSU campus more than Tuscaloosa, too (I don't see how he couldn't, IMHO). We have a lot to offer, there are family connections, etc. For the first time in his recruiting, I get the sense that we have a legitimate shot at this guy - esp. if the decommit rumors are true. NSD just got even more exciting.
Now this is all funny as hell......But the point is whether we get TR or not. My personal opinion is he can go elsewhere! Ford is a beast! He has been committed for almost a year now. He is all LSU always has been. I have never seen either play, only read about each one. They seem similar and I will take someone who bleeds P&G who is an in-state guy over someone thats on the fence. TR would be a great pick up for the team don't get me wrong, but with Ford already in our back pocket, two 3-4 season RB's already in the mix with a back up with two years experience and a slew of back in 2010 looking hard at LSU next year TR can go where his heart takes him. LSU will do fine in 2009!!!!!!!
