Most reliable Gator poster I have access to says the following:

He feels terrific about TR and I'm starting to lean in that direction with him. Won't get my hopes up yet, though. :thumb:

TR is a back that needs to used correctly if he want to go the next level..

Urban's offense,as great as it is, is not a great offense for NFL RB development IMHO. You guys don't even use a FB, unless you are counting Tebow. LOL!

I learned today that BR is 2 hours closer to home than is Gainsville.. Amazing actually..I would have never guessed that..

LSU and Bama are the better offensive scheme situations for a thick back like TR.

that is my 2 cents. I could see him going to UF, and I would better with that than him at Alabama...I guess? Not if we have to play you twice a year though

If all goes as planned both our teams will be in a seperate league in 2010. The SEC is going to be absolutely brutal 2010-11.

Shea mentioned this on Scout yesterday and I think it was mentioned on the last Scout update or Tigerrag.

    Florida visit was a 10

LSU visit was a 8 maybe 9. (His exact words)

    Bama was an 8

But he also qualified it by saying it was during the BCS Trophy celebration at the school. He said that made it very special but did not indicate he liked every thing else at Florida better.

Whoa, now. I don't know about all that. Florida got hot at the right time this year, like Georgia almost did last year. History dictates that they won't be playing nearly on that level next year. Plus, fighting apathy/complacency is only half the battle the year after a title (and it sure is a big half). You'll also see every one of your opponents absolute best game ever for every game you play. And nowhere in the country is that as big of a factor as it is in the good ol' SEC. Gator fans know about this just as well as we do.
Don't get ahead of yourself there, guy. This isn't the Slack-10. Sure, UF was a cut above the rest of the conference this year. But the days of one program dominating year-in and year-out are long gone. Like I said, y'all got hot this year. But that guarantees little more than a hit square in the mouth in '09.
Actually, no one here does. Our 3-year back-up went straight to the BCSNC.
Terrible comparison. We play defense in the SEC.

Not trying to rail on ya too hard, just trying to keep you in check. Sure, your program is in great shape right now. But it isn't as though the rest of the conference is sitting on it's hands.

If we get TR, that will just be icing on the cake for me. I won't be disappointed if he doesn't come to LSU, but it would be a nice grab.

I don't see why any top back would want to go to Florida. With the type of offense they run, I don't think Florida offers the best chance to showcase your talents to NFL scouts. Makes little sense to me.

    Thank you CC...my thoughts exactly.

close to the level of UF??!?! Sorry kid, we are on your level without a doubt. :crystal::crystal::crystal:

Also...about Brantley....Tebow is one of the greatest ever in college football at being a motivator and leader. I have no doubt Brantley will not be on the level of Tebow. He is a once in a lifetime get.
