I believe it was from a Scout interview. Read it on another board. Here's what the guys said:

Don't make me laugh any harder than I am right now, please.

I am pretty sure he meant a comparison only to Bama.

Even if he was talking about UF too.. If UF doesn't win it all next season LSU will still be on top and poised to take it in 2010/11 too.

(That's one hell of an 'if' though)

OK, that would make a lot more sense. Alabama played way above themselves this season, it showed in the Utah game.

You really think that the thing that will make the difference between Florida dominating or not is winning 3/4 championships? Florida is absolutely loaded at RB, WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, DB and Brantley is a better pure passer than Tebow. You'll be lucky to be on our level in 2010.

One of the things that TR didn't like about LSU was that he had not developed relationships with any of the current players - unlike with Bama, where he is friends with many of the current players.

However, he had a chance to change that this past weekend. That speaks well for us.

I still don't see him signing here.

Unless your boy shares alot of playing time with superman this year he'll be pretty green. Our qb will have at least a year already under his belt. I like our chances in 2010.

Yeah, I think that's the reason Florida got themselves a shot at him after his visit. He really seemed to bond with some of the guys, and was hanging out with Rainey quite a bit.

He'll get plenty of mop-up work, but believe me, Brantley will be 100% ready on day one, a lot like the USC guys usually are. He'll be a RS Junior when he gets the job if I'm thinking straight. That gives him 3 years of tutoring before taking over.

At this point Florida and LSU are the two most loaded teams in the SEC. Florida is in no better shape than LSU to be dominant in 2010. Noone is here dissing Florida. In fact, just about everyone on this site feels Florida will win it all next year. But don't act as if breaking in a brand new QB will be easy come 2010.
Be respectful. You have the same number of :crystal: as us...we just got their faster:D.

Sorry if I came across disrespectful, not my intention. The you'll be lucky to be on our level was more of a joke. You guys will be close for sure, but a lot of people here severely underestimate what 3 years of learning can do for a talent like Brantley. I said above I feel it will be similar to the USC situation (Leinart -> Booty -> Sanchez all went smoothly).

You've been a very respectful poster for the most part but I think LSU's down season has gotten in the head of many rival SEC fans. Remember the season the Gators had after their 1st Crystal under Meyer?

LSU has been at the top of the recruiting ranking year in and year out just like the Gators. There aren't many more loaded teams than the Tigers or the Gators and both will be making a run at the Crystal for the foreseeable future.

And I'm quite sure no fan like an LSU fan can appreciate what 3 years of backup can do for a QB. Matt Flynn won :crystal: for us the year before your's. :thumb:

I will say that it aint easy and the odds aren't in your favor especially since Meyer doesn't seem to give his backups much quality playing time. Only time will tell.
