I like when LSU is last in the officials. It seems like if the recruit is blown away at that point, they will be settled on committing to us. Not saying TR is coming to LSU, but if he likes what he sees and hears after going to ALA at that point, then....maybe. Do other "expert" posters find this to be the case? Are there any statistics that look at that? Does it simply not matter?

    Re: Trent Richardson

He likes the fact that Bama and LSU have stayed on him the entire process and said he can see the true colors coming out down the stretch. I take that as he means that other schools are not keeping in touch with him because they assume he is solid to Bama, etc...

Things in LSU's favor to make a push for his commitment:

We get the last visit, we have stayed on him with in-home visits every week, his brother is down the road at La Tech and they hang out every chance they get, he will be with many current LSU commits and future commits at the UA game, and he said RS will be enrolled by the time he comes in for his visit.

All those are great and could be a motivator for LSU.

However, I still feel he will end up at Bama because he sees a great chance to run the ball in the offense and the program had a great year.

All we can do is hope he has a great time to make him think harder about his decision.

This would be a huge steal but I don't see it happening. Either way, we have a great class.

Don't see it happening, and don't see it as a need despite his obvious talents. I am really pleased with Ford and Pratt, and our chances with Seastrunk next year. I just see our schollie limits(perceived or real), and desire other positions filled. I am hoping the coaches do too.

Reports of his official visit will be one of the more boring footnotes to this recruiting season. No reason to think he will not sign with bama.

I agree, I think he might be just having some fun with recruiting. He will sign with Bama.

I think Ford and Prat's solid commitments have a little to do with his decision and I don't blame him.
I'll gladly take Seastrunk next year who looks like another Adrian Peterson.

Seastrunk is freaky elusive and fast. Smallish but he still a junior, so I expect he could be a bit bigger. Originally from La., and reportedly favors us heavily. Enough that most longhorn fans have preemptively given up on him.

He probably has some video on youtube if you don't have a rivals/scout account.
