Perrilloux was not even the highest rated QB in his class. He was the #1 Player in LA, #1 Dual Threat QB in the country and #16 overall player in the country. The highest QB in the 2005 class was Mark Sanchez (pro style QB), #7 overall and went to USC. This is per rivals
Yeah we were talking about ESPN rankings but I have not found the rankings from that year. But he was #1 for awhile including the week of national signing day.
I've found ESPN to be the most inaccurate of all the recruiting services. It's too nationally focused. Rivals and Scout have people at the local level that really get to see the talent first hand. ESPN doesn't update enough and tends to go off who is getting the most hype at the end of the year for their final ranking. So I can see why they would put Perrilloux as number one with all the media attention that went into his final decision.
Correct. ESPN is also the one that rated Hoover #1 to begin the year because they had a show on MTV.:dis: We know how that turned out.
Luckily for Joe, that overhyped team played JC on ESPN and their main recruiting analyst got to see him destroy Hoover...hence the reason he's #1 now.
