I doubt he really runs a 4.38 (although I guess he could) but watching him run I'd say mid-4.4s is not out of the question. He's faster than he should be for that size.

Yes, he is a speedy power back, much like Pratt was going to be.

I think he has the ability to be a bruiser like Scott but have the speed like KWilliams. Not bad.

He actually ran a 4.44 at the New Orleans Scout combine as a Junior in 07 now that I look.

Just a FYI to those still questioning or wondering about his character. The dad of one of his teammates gave an account of Lacy being talked to all the seniors on the team at the start of the season and Lacy responded very positively and even apologized for his past actions. He thinks Lacy would make a very fine addition to LSU.

I was glad to get in touch with one of Louisiana's top young coaches this week. Benny Saia of Dutchtown had plenty of good things to say about his current players who might sign with colleges.

Saia also provided updates on players who signed last year. Benny was on his way back from a coaches clinic in Biloxi where St Charles Catholic legend Frank Monica as one of the main speakers.

The latest news on running back Eddie Lacy is that he will sign with either Tennessee or Alabama come signing day. If he does not qualify, as I reported a few weeks ago, he will re-sign with one of these programs after two years in junior college or a year in prep school. LSU came in on him late to place him or sign him, but Eddie stayed with Alabama, who has been on him the hardest throughout the process, while Tennessee made a strong push to be in the final two.

The bottom line is that LSU was screwed over by Pratt at the last minute and it's probably too late to get in on anyone else.

Lacy can't blame LSU for taking Pratt, and Ford ahead of him. If he would have had his grades straight, LSU would have offered sooner. Im sure Bama and any other school, is treating him the same way. No one can hold a offer for a guy who dose not have the grades, plain and simple.
