Yes, Yes. I agree. A couple of plays would've made the difference - in a GOOD way! :eek:ldskule:

I think the Doucet mistake is on Doucet, hate to say that. As a veteran, shouldn't he have known?

It seems the 4th and 10 conversion was due to a blown coverage. McCrae was miles from that receiver when he caught the pass.

My second guessing question is: for the two point conversion in the 3rd OT, I thought they could have ran the ball and power it in, since it is late in the game for the opposing defense.

You're in denial. There were several plays that could have put us at 8-4 or less. I love my Tigers but lets be realistic we were VERY lucky to even have a chance at the NC.

    I'll tell you how close.

    Two plays.

Vs Ken. If a field goal was just a couple of feet to the right.

Vs Ark. ANY play by ANY defender in ANY of the overtimes.

You have a point on Doucet, I'm saying that smart teams don't make that mistake, and LSU has been dumb a lot this year.

On the 4th. and 10, it was a blown coverage, but that was Dick's second or even 3rd. look. He had too much time on almost every 3rd. down pass he connected on in the second half.

My problem is losing to Arkansas, on your home field, 2 games away from playing for the National Championship. LSU should have been "sky high." They were not. That is coaching. Also, looking at all of LSU's games, with the obvious exceptions, you never knew if the Tigers were going to win until the gun sounded. O well. Kansas vs. West Va. for the National Championship? It will be the lowest rated game in national championship history; if it happens.

Now this is good post. Simple and true.

Like I said at the beginning of the season when everyone was talking NC.....Les is good for 2 losses by himself. And again I'm right. I hate to be right sometimes but........

Actually, after today, I'm hoping the BCS gets Hawaii vs. Va. Tech. It would serve them right for this ridiculous system.

Well, Spastic, I've always preferred to look at the glass as half full.

We could "if" this thing to death. I'd just prefer to do it in a positive way.

I might live longer if I smile more and frown less. :eek:ldskule:

If we can still win the SEC I will be satisfied with the season. Obviously I hoped we would have one a NC, but 12-2 with a SEC tiltle and Sugar Bowl title would still be an outstanding year. The thing that irks me about the Arkansas game is how do you let a team put a 50 spot on you that has no passing game. They line up and dare you to stop the run because they can't throw the ball. Also they must be putting something in the water in BR because we have player dropping like flies. I guess now we don't have to worry about Miles sticking around until after the NC game while denying he's leaving for Michigan. I'll be happy with 10-2 every year. We're bound to back our way into a NC every now and then.
