Nope - not proud of it. I was amplifying Maui's question for the stat freaks. It's like coming THIS close to your dream, and having brush past you like a stranger in a crowd.......
Well, although I predicted a big win by LSU, I have to admit that was wishful thinking. This was the same LSU team we've seen all year, basically. A defense that has gotten progressively worse as they've gotten more and more beat up. An offense with a lot of weapons, but with a QB who throws for a 50% completion rate and misses lots of open people. Punt and kick return teams that can't provide consistently good field position for the offense. A team that commits crucial penalties and misses crucial opportunities. Let's face it: Because of what LSU did to VirginiaTech in September, Tiger fans allowed themselves to dream illogical dreams and live in denial for many weeks. Today's result was as it should be. McFadden and Jones, two great players taking it to a defense that hasn't played four strong quarters since Week 2. This Tiger team will prove a lot to me if they can turn around and come up with a win next Saturday night. That's an iffy proposition, though. Iffy at best.
I hope we can start playing Ryan Perrilloux more like we should've been doing. Giving him experience that is needed for next year.
Did u watch the game today? Or for the last 7-8 weeks? LSU's luck finally ran out. LSU let this team stay in the game early which gave Arky confidence. And a team with MacFadden and confidence, that's not good. Ive said it all year that the only team that could beat LSU was LSU. And for the second time this year they did. LSU should have went up at least 17-0 in the first quarter instead of 6-0. They let Arky hang around and eventually win. I like Les Miles and I love his passion for this team, but he's not a good coach. His game management is a joke. LSU has been winning all these close games due to their talent. Tonight their talent wasn't enough and the coaching was not there. And for Pelini, he's HORSECHIT. I hope he's gone. His refusal to put pressure on the QB is why this defense struggles so much. To give a QB all the time in the world to throw is just asking to lose. And we did.
Thats a pretty ridiculous statement. Everyone does stupid crap while they are young. I know I did. Doesn't mean he can't turn it around and get his $hit together. If he does keep on down the road he is on he'll end up like Marcus or Micheal Vick.
I would shed no tears if that dirtbag never saw the field. A player for LSU needs to embody the character and heart of LSU and that thug does not. We need to find a coach who will recruit a hundred 2 star Jacob Hesters.
Not looking forward to work next week. Damn phone keeps ringing.. Guess we gotta let them win one every now and then. Still proud to be a Tiger! :helmet:
