It's happening this year. His ninth.

Making your "bragging point" null and void.

Who gives a shit? Other coaches have singular achievements. Why can't Les have one? If some coach has happy feet or gets himself fired, he just cannot achieve this particular accomplishment. If he can't win enough games, he cannot do so either. Les has done this.

Simple irrelevancy, Terry. Neither Les nor Shula, nor Meyer, nor most of the coaches on the list not named Spurrier were coaching in 1994. This is a list of 21st century coaches with 21st century records. It is entirely legitimate to compare them to each other.

So, let me get this straight.

If I have 20 opportunities to accomplish something.

    And, another guy has 17.

We're both judged on the same measure?

Your reasoning here...if it were a boat, you'd be wet.

Now, you are changing the narrative.

Saban is going to have 100 in nine years. Where's your bragging point then?

    You simply don't get it.

Much like you don't get where the problems lay with your program.

    Is that simple enough?

You sure don't want to come in behind the guy that wins the steak knives. That was a great speech.

Happens in sports all the time. Barry Bonds is the all -time HR leader. People may talk about how many games are played today vs in Ruths day but the record still stands. People can talk about HR per at bat if they want to, but the record still stands. Nothing changes the fact the no one has hit more HR than Barry Bonds.

Does Lance Armstrong still have Tour de France titles? Nope. In time, MLB will nullify the records of drug-enhanced athletes.

You forget who you are talking about. The honks that run baseball are pretty tough to predict. I say they stand and one day Pete and shoeless Joe will make the hall.
