Sure, why not. It's statistically accurate and I don't feel a need to defend him. If he's 14 and 12 Sark next season, you can call him anything you like. Plus, I don't like Oregon fans but you are good peeps.
seems reasonable to me. since les is getting dinged for lsu having top facilities, being pretty good when he got here, and having money to pay top assistants.
How many coaches have faced Meyer coached teams six times? Three? Bowden, who retired in '09 only faced him four times. I'm thinking it's Miles, Spurrier, and Richt.
A Mike Shula team beat an Urban Meyer coached Florida team. Is that relevant considering it was in the same year as was one of those three losses Miles suffered against Meyer? What was that 2005 game? A four point loss at home the same year a Shula coached team beat Florida by 28 at home? BTW, the same winning percentage as Miles: .500. Based on winning percentage I could say Shula is as good of a coach as Miles. We both know that isn't the case, but it's an example of using stats to say whatever you want them to, correct? In answer to your question, how is it relevant considering Miles vs Meyer didn't happen last season? The point is you can make some stats say what you want them to say, right? In my opinion, it's no different than an earlier bragging point about Miles, 100 wins over 10 seasons, when so few coaches have actually coached enough games at one school to say the same? (much less coached enough games in a season to get to that mark.) Heck, no different than using Jeremy Johnson's numbers against DII teams as evidence he deserves to be 2nd team, All-SEC on Steele's list. By the way, I think these rankings are off the mark in several cases. But, it's Athlon. (And, that's not to mention I wouldn't expect an Austin Peay grad to give a LSU coach his due in the first place. But, his opinion isn't meant to be a shared opinion by all.)
