Season's almost over. Rank the SEC coaches. Here's my list: 1. Meyer - coming off NC, held on the #1 all year. 2. Saban - about to finish off 2 back-to-back 12-0 seasons 3. Petrino - the guy can coach, Arky getting back in the mix 4. Nutt - generally gets the most out of his talent 5. Spurrier - still puts a good team on the field 6. Johnson - good coach, always outmanned 7. Brooks - same as above 8. & 9. Chizik, Mullen - too early to tell 10. Richt - lots of hype, teams seem to disappoint most every year 11. Miles - highest paid, top 3 talent, declining results 12. Kiffin - wouldn't be anywhere without Daddy
Tuckerman you need to take a break. We all know what happened. We all know what you think. You've made it abundantly clear.
Meyer and Saban are top tier. Nutt, Petrino and Miles are in the next group. Kiffin and Chizik are OK. I'd group everybody else below them. An SEC coach is a lot more than an Xs and Os guy. He has to be able to get the best out of his athletes, facilities, boosters and staff. But these are definitely some of the top coachs in college football. Believe me, CLM would be welcome as a headcoach in a lot of places you wouldn't expect.:yelwink2:
Whoever coaches LSU tops my list, no matter if they have only won 8 games in one season. I know, I know. My standards are very low....:miles:
Tuckerman, you need to start another thread and entitle it "I'M AN ALABAMA MOLE, LET'S TALK ABOUT SABAN SOME MORE"
You can not rank a coach that has not won the SEC or BCS NC ahead of Coach Miles no matter how mad you are about Sat!!
