The here and now is Miles was trending downward. His last natty was ten yrs ago, appearance six. Bit of rust on there.
Also remember miles damn near lost to Troy as well. We had to have if not the biggest one of the biggest comebacks to beat them.
Not disputing that and if not for Ed O’s disasterous stint at Ole Miss, and last year’s UF loss and then Troy and State beating LSU at home worse than they have in their entire history O would have been higher. Again just an opinion. Who knows O may very well end up 2 or 3, but I’m not a soothsayer so until it happens I think he is where he should be.
Saban did in two places and you have him at number one (begrudgingly I would as well f-big little bastard). He lost with us then won a natty and the same with the gumps. Who’s to say the home grown coon ass could do something similar. Fact is he is much better of a coach then you are giving him credit for. In fact he has done something that bastard down the road has done, adapt and learn. To me that is what you have to do to survive in coaching and that is why miles isn’t coaching now.
Not saying he can’t but Saban has a few occupied fingers now, he isn’t anywhere near the same level as Saban currently. Look again I’m not saying that Orgeron can’t move up. I hope he does, I hope he is eventually 1 on that list, that would mean LSU would be dynastic. But until he does, if, he does, I think I was being fair. He still has a lot to prove.
