Just the rhetoric alone on the rankings is enough for me not to do it. ESPN is the worst, they are trying to cheapen our NC as much as they can. Its kinda like being swift boated, but repubs. Even though the truth is in their faces they find away to spin and destroy the crediblity of it.:geaux:
Here's my list: 1.2001 Hurricanes 2.2005 Longhorns 3.2004 Trojans 4.2003 Tigers 5.2000 Sooners 6.2007 Tigers 7.1999 Seminoles 8.2006 Gators 9.2002 Buckeyes 10.1998 Volunteers
good list totally agree on the '01 hurricanes. 1) 2001 hurricanes 2) 2004 trojans 3) 2005 longhorns 4) 2003 tigers 5) 2006 gators 6) 1999 seminoles 7) 2000 sooners 8) 2007 tigers 9) 1998 vols 10) 2002 buckeyes i'm trying to be as objective as possible and will probably get killed for where i rank this year's team. funny thing is i ranked the 2002 buckeye team last and the miami team they beat probably would've been a top 3 champion had they won (imo). and i promise i have no love for thug u.
Trying to be as objective as possible, here's my list based on how the team's performed, not who the "best" teams are: 1) 2001 Hurricanes - unreal team 2) 2005 Longhorns - beat the "greatest team ever" in the title game 3) 2004 Trojans - wire to wire champs, destroyed OU 4) 2002 Buckeyes - scrappy team, with unreal D. could beat anyone 5) 1999 Seminoles -undefeated, and wire to wire 6) 2000 Sooners 7) 2007 Tigers - extremely talented, two 3-ot losses 8) 2003 Tigers - D played better than 07 team, but offense wasn't that great 9) 2006 Gators - awesome bowl game, not so great regular season. I would say even with 2003 LSU team. 10) 1998 Vols - honestly don't remember much
Yep. That about does it for me... From this point on I am going to make it a point ignore ESPN's articles, broadcasts (if LSU isn't involved), polls, contests... screw em. The sports world would be a better place without em.
Well, they were inconsistent. I didn't get the feeling like they could score at will on any team, like I do with this year's team. The Florida game was rock bottom for the offense.
Well, you can't pay me to think much of the '98 Tennecheat team, but I did rate the '07 LSU team #2, then '05 Texas #3, then '06 Florida #4, then '03 LSU #5. You could guess who I put at #1.
