I don’t see it. O has done a good job this year. Our offense isn’t as good as some pretend it to be. It’s capable of winning games, but it’s not capable of beating the elite. Anytime something goes wrong, we turtle shell it and punt. We MIGHT be able to slow down Bamas offense, and hope like hell they miss field goals; but we aren’t keeping them out of the endzone all game. If we can sustain every drive, not turn the ball over, and score touchdowns IF we make it to the redzone, then there’s a chance. Keeping Tua off the field is the key. But even with a bye week to prepare, I just don’t see it. I just hope it’s at least a competitive game where, if we don’t win, bama and their fans (who don’t know that there is no logical reasoning during trash talking) think we might.
I'm not disagreeing with a lot of what you're seeing here. There's a nine catch differential between the top five receivers for Bama. I don't believe the backfield has the talent to keep up with three, much less more, in passing routes. On the same note, the LSU backfield hasn't seen an offense that's even close to the one they're seeing next Saturday. I've been banging this drum since before the season and a lot of you guys still aren't buying.
