I see some here are blaming E for Jeaux's bad 1st half and dropped passes. Brilliant simply brilliant.
The rain and MOOU’s offense (not to mention their excellent D) contributed to a conservative game plan. It worked against UGA and MSU, using field position and FGs to put the game out of reach. I think E will be as aggressive as he needs to be against Bama. If our D is up to the task, probably lean conservative, which is ok but leaves you open to a comeback. One score and successful onside kick after White and the 50 yard penalties could have tied the game.
E is beyond reproach and almost as smart as you. Someone else is responsible for getting the players ready to execute.
I would have like to have seen Steve try to get the rb’s more involved in the passing game as well as the te far too often we ran into the strength of the d not establishing the run and not expanding the field by testing the edges also seemed to me we gave up on third down too often whether it comes from o or from within the reliance on the fg and the d is telling and leaves no margin for error
Seems reasonable. I agree we have not used the TE very much this season. On the other hand, from the second quarter on, it was pretty obvious that St was not going to do much on offense. We don't yet know if E is inherently conservative in his play calling or if it has been situational up to this point. I hope it is the latter, and he has not done/shown more than he has had to to this point. I believe the Alabama game will have several very interesting story lines, and this should be one of them.
