I don't see a 1 loss non champion getting in over a 1 loss champion P5 team this year, especially with Notre Dame. Even had we beaten Florida, I don't see us getting in if we lose to Alabama.
If Ohio State wins the conference. They could get left out again because of the pathetic showing against Perdue
Probably not but if it was bama in the same situation there would be 2 SEC teams in the playoffs again.
So you would put a 1 loss non conference champion Alabama in over a 1 loss conference champion Ohio State. Would you feel the same way if you were not a bama fan?
We'll find out if LSU beats 'Bama. But, I don't see a non championship 'Bama getting in this year. Again, if Notre Dame wins out, that will mean that two conference champions don't get in. No way, do I see a one loss non champion 'Bama getting in and having THREE conference champions on the sidelines.
I do. If Clemson loses a game playoffs would be LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Alabama. I can't see a one loss Clemson or Oklahoma getting in over Alabama or Ohio State. If there is any other team in America that gets as much favorable media bias as Alabama it's Ohio State.
I disagree. A one loss champion Clemson or Ohio State will get in over a one loss non-champion Alabama. Not sure if I would argie that for the other two P5 conferences.
These kinds of conversations happen every October, but the playoff picture ALWAYS changes dramatically in November. I wouldn’t be surprised if a 2 loss team makes it into one of the 4 for CFPs. OSU, LSU, Oklahoma, UGA, Texas, and Florida all have a loss already, are all capable of beating undefeated or other one loss teams, and/or all could all lose another. At least one of those teams is getting in.
