Height is extremely important for a QB. He has to be able to see over those lineman and get a good downfield look. Mackey is 5-11. That might create problems if he has to peer over a line that averages, say, 6-1.
I've met Drew Breeze, he's 5-11. All in all he gets it done. I just wish RM's grades were in order, because he is special.
The way Miles has been recruiting OLine the average height is going to be more like 6'4. I'm not saying that a short QB can't be successful, but a short QB requires a different philosophy & it's obvious our coaches don't want to go with that - especially when we can get quality QBs who are tall enough.

Regardless of how some fans feel about QBs height being important, they do find it important. Perhaps they would recruit him for another position if it wasn't for his grades.
