Just for fun, who's one player you think could go a lot higher than anticipated on draft day and one player who you think will disappoint? I think that Anthony Ranaudo will actually go higher than expected, and Nick Castellanos might go lower than expected for different reasons. They're both great players, though, and I'd take either in my organization. Draft Q & A with Andy Seiler - Amazin' Avenue
I know you can't base draft picks based on one performance at least you probably shouldn't but if I'm a big league GM I'm not throwning a pile of money at Ranaudo, not based off of what I've seen this season. We will find out in a few hours.
Ranaudo to Boston? Unpredictable pitchers on the mound and in the draft | The Portland Press Herald / Maine Sunday Telegram
It depends on where he gets drafted. High pick (1-3 round) - go; low pick (7-above)- stay. Minor League coaches can work with him - depends on the amount of Jack he gets.
a lot higher than i thought he would go. too bad i didnt find a way to get him to sign my last years cws ticket this year. looks like i lost my chance.
Good luck to AR. I hope he gets a good deal. Too bad he had the problems that he had this year. Hopefully they will pay him based on last year, not this year. I'm really hating the damned baseball draft right now. Losing 2 more pitchers (presumably) for next year sucks!
