Is this injury something that's likely to be with him the whole year, or can he rest a few weeks and be at full strength?
no one knows. its on the outside of his elbow so its not affecting his throwing motion. its when hes coming out the stretch or raising his arm over his head, etc. and an elbow is worse than a knee injury. it can seem fine then totally blow up after a couple weeks. lots of stress on a very small joint.
As do we all. The silver lining is that we will be getting younger pitchers experience they wouldn't otherwise be getting. Hopefully that will serve them and the team well later in the season/regionals.
You beat me to that one. I spoke to Anthony a few days ago and he said he doesn't believe this is a season-ender, but he has had problems with his elbow before (hence why he barely pitched his freshman year), so they will move forward with the utmost caution. He has a lot invested in this season financially.
