Hi, it's been a while since I posted here. During last night's game, the tv commentators referred to the Auburn chop block on Dorsey as what led to LSU's vulnerability on defense. It brought back the feeling of rage I had about the incident, and reminded me that for Dorsey, at a minimum, that block may never be something that won't affect him. I know he's been hurting, and it very likely will affect his draft position, the contract he can command in the NFL and his entire career.

So no, I absolutely do not agree with the Auburn fans who want to let it drop and "put it behind them." Rightly or wrongly, Ramsey and Auburn will have a reputation as thugs for a long, long time to come.

My question though, is who was the second man in the chop block duo? I want to see what else that guy has done in his illustrious career.

    All the best,
    X

The validity of that being an intentional chop is as weak as the CBS crew laying the blame of both LSU losses on that block. The Kentucky game was before the AU game. They want to keep making a point, truth doesn't matter.

The other person involved was Lee Ziemba, another freshman. He blew his assignment and didn't block low. Ramsey gets the grief, and it was Lee's mistake.

Heck, Lee was suppose to release and go to the second level, but ALL of the linemen were to block low on that play.

Chaz looked over at Dorsey's knee and dove into it from the side.

Just ignore Deceks7 on this topic. He's otherwise reasonable and intelligent.

It appeared blatantly obvious to me that it was intentional

Eh.. Dorsey has a month to recover.

Plays at 90% and records 7 tackles and 2 sacks against tOSU.

Ramsey's first responsibility on the play was Beckwith. When he didn't rush, and Dorsey did, he went low. He was making his move just as Ziemba made contact and spun Dorsey so the knee was exposed. Ziemba's error is what caused the illegal block. I do not dispute it was a bad play. I do not, however, believe it was intentional. Dorsey coming your way doesn't give you time to look and see if someone else was picking him up.

But we will never change each others mind. I just am amazed that the announcers blamed the block on Dorsey for the Kentucky loss. It shows how versed they really are in what is really happening on the football field, kind of like Miles is confirmed to be leaving. Just because a talking head said it doesn't make it fact.

I believe it was intentional...just my opinion based on what I say. I don't think you can discount the fact that Tubberville is somewhat of a dirty SOB himself. I wonder how much his non-sportsmanlike attitude carries over to the team. Not saying he directed the player to do it. I just wonder if he discourages it at all.:geaux:

There is no question in my mind whatsoever that it was intentional. All you have to do is look at how Ramsey moved his knees to know it was intentional - he tucked his right leg under and went for it.

That's a given. I was looking for the second player's name, and thanks for letting me know who he is.

    All the best,
